Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image centred over the historical market town of Shrewsbury has been enhanced using the near infrared, short-wave infrared and red spectral wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 30km x 30km.

This Autumnal image highlights the meandering River Severn and the varied agricultural land use of the surrounding countryside which provides a unique patchwork quilt effect in this false colour image.
