Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image over part the Lena Delta in Northern Russia has been enhanced using the short-wave infrared wavelengths and red wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue.

The image covers an area 45km x 35km and shows a lush wetland which the area is transformed into during the summer months. This naturally occurring landscape provides an image in the style of Van Gogh’s “Olive Trees”.
