Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image off the South-east coast of Great Britain has been enhanced using the near infrared, short wave infrared and red wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 40km x 35km.

This image contrasts the agricultural land of the Essex coastline with the rich blue colour of the estuaries that run in to the North Sea. Sediment flow and offshore sandbanks provide spectacular textures within the image.
