Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image over the Jebel Tuwaiq escarpment in Saudi Arabia has been enhanced using the short-wave infrared, near infrared and green wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 80km x 70km.

Jebel Tuwaiq runs for approximately 800 km's and is composed of sedimentary rocks (brown, red, grey colours on the image). Wadi channels run off the escarpment to the lower desert sands (yellow).
