Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image over the Foxe Basin, Canada has been enhanced using the short-wave infrared, near infrared and green wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 80km x 70km.

This summer scene highlights the moving pack ice (cyan) that is kept in constant motion by tidal current and strong winds in between the mainland and Prince Charles Island (green land mass at the bottom of the image).
