Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image of Snowdonia has been enhanced using the near infrared, short wave infrared and red wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 40km x 35km.

Snowdonia National Park in North Wales covers and area of 838 square miles with the Snowdon the highest point standing at 1085m. This image highlights the various mountain ranges of the Welsh 3000's (cyan/green), lush vegetation (orange) and coniferous forests (brown).
