Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image over Salar De Uyuni in southwest Bolivia has been enhanced using the short-wave infrared, near infrared and green wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 40km x 35km.

Salar De Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. The salar (light cyan/white) is a sharp contrast to the shoreline of the mainland and encompassed islands.
