Acquired from an altitude of 705km this Landsat 7 ETM+ false colour image over the Diamantina River in Queensland, Australia has been enhanced using the short-wave infrared, near infrared and green wavelengths displayed as red, green and blue. The image covers an area 40km x 35km.
This image acquired during a period of flooding highlights the Diamantina River (blue) which cuts braided channels through gibber flats (grey), sand dunes (yellow) and red-capped ranges.
